Hands-on workshops where children learn the basics of programming and algorithmic thinking through play.
Short, practical lessons in which children do not listen to someone talk about programming. They do it: they assemble the code themselves, run it and see the result straight away. The aim is not for every child to become a programmer, but to understand how the systems they use every day work and to gain confidence in the digital world.

Step by step
Four parts of one workshop, from the first explanation to showing the work.
What an algorithm is, through examples from everyday life.
Children work on a first task in pairs or small groups, with an educator's support.
A task that builds on the first one, with more than one way to solve it.
Groups show what they made.
NextGen Leap held these workshops in Plav, Rožaje, Ulcinj, Tuzi and other towns. The STEMovation project (2023) brought innovation events and programming into schools in the north.
